Pig farming today is no longer as simple as owning a piece of land. It has become a highly competitive business, with slim profit margins which necessitate intensive management and high efficiency. There is no room for error and every new trick discovered must quickly be adopted if a farmer is to keep up with the competition.
The Pig Breeders Cooperative Society (KIM Ltd) has been instrumental in ensuring the survival of the pork sector in Malta, by staying up to date on necessary or recommended changes and advising its members on how best to implement these changes on their  farms.
